About I Love KG
I Love KG is an independent travel guide to Kyrgyzstan. We help travellers choose a region, route and style of trip and understand the road, season, restrictions and preparation involved.
Who creates I Love KG
The project's authors, Dmitry and Maria Kalyuzhny, are qualified adventure tourism guides. They trained at a tourism school in St Petersburg, qualified as instructors, completed rescue training and have guided more than 300 people through Kyrgyzstan, from accessible gorges to high-altitude routes in the Tian Shan.
Evgeny Buyanov also works on the guide's writing and structure. Individual materials name their authors where that context helps readers understand the origin of the text.
How we prepare articles
We combine travel experience with official documents and material from public authorities, museums, national parks and other primary sources. We distinguish stable facts from practical conditions that can change and ask travellers to confirm the latter before setting out.
Each guide focuses on what a traveller will see and can do: how to reach a place, how much time to allow, what preparation is required and when conditions make turning back the safer choice. English and German articles are written as independent versions based on the Russian material, not produced as literal machine translations.

Why we love Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan brings together dramatic mountain landscapes, clear lakes and living cultural traditions. Visitors also encounter a warmth towards guests that shapes everyday travel around the country.
Old traditions remain part of modern life. Yurts on summer pastures, national celebrations and folk games all connect present-day Kyrgyzstan with its history.
We created I Love KG to help you explore the country's nature and culture and plan a journey with clearer, more practical information.

π 12 August 2026. We launched complete English and German editions of the guide. Each article is written as an independent version based on the Russian original rather than produced as a machine translation.
